When I had analyzed all the personal history I could think of...
When I had talked and emoted for years on end...
When I was ready simply to be well, to find my true self...

Geo's teachings were the seeds of transformation —

At the age of 16 I was lost in a light-less ocean, coping with a psychological breakdown of the year before. Geo taught me about Shamanic Death, awakening my soul to the metamorphosis Great Spirit was offering me. She opened my eyes to the language and medicine of "that which moves in everything and rests in nothing." She taught me ways of living in communication with the Sacred. In a time of great fragmentation, Geo taught me prayers of thankfulness and harmony.

One of the most powerful was a chant for the God within all things, which I often sang to greet the sunrise, giving me the humility, strength, and grounding to follow a path into my power as the man I am today.

I met Geo a few years ago at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies, in Rhinebeck, NY, where I was working that summer as staff member. Geo offered a class and a ceremony that was open for staff and so I had my first encounter with a Celtic hereditary shamaness, priestess, who also has Hungarian ancestry like myself, being Hungarian.

I don't remember which I did first, the workshop or the ceremony, but I do know that during Geo's stay at the campus my life was transformed. I've had the pleasure to meet with her in a personal healing session, as anama-chara in a reading and I've had some private conversations with her. All of these experiences stand out in my memory and to this day I cherish the moments of her sharing with me and think of her often.

Testimonial to the Spirit of Geo

I don't know how many years ago, it was, that I got the privilege of meeting Geo, but nothing could get me to forget seeing her for the first time. She just captivated the energy of a room...Her power, Her womanliness, Her essence, was just sparkling with an aura of beautiful colors that just shined of light.... When ever I see this, I know that I am in the presence of a Master. I watched her walk through a crowded lunchroom saying to myself, "I would surely love to meet this spiritual human being, just to set & talk." Later that week at the retreat where we were both working, I got to do just that & found that she was a warm person who you just felt you had known forever. It was great meeting her.

Some years later, I started having some difficulties with a past life. I was again privileged to be speaking at the same gathering as Geo & I couldn't wait for her to have some free time to ask her for her thoughts on it. I am a Native American & I haven't had much information on past lives. I had surely seen many, many, medicine ceremonies & healers from all over the world...but I was astonished when she just took her hour & my hour that we both had off to work thought a full ceremony & healing for me. Geo's command of the spiritual ways of Shamanism, just amazed me. In just a few minutes I was worked through this past life energy and felt 100% better.

In I998, I was so privileged to asked to tour the British Isles on a mission of sharing words about Peace & Harmony. I immediately wrote to Geo trying to find where she was so hopefully I might see her again. One of the beautiful places that we visited was in Northumberland England where we did a speaking engagement. I finally had gotten ahold of Geo & she said she would come visit. A very special lady, who is the owner of a Castle there in Nothumberland, asked me to do a Castle Blessings. I was honored but felt that maybe the spirits would not respond to an American Indian calling forth for the blessings as well as a Gaelic person. I was so excited when Geo showed up & I asked her to perform the blessings. She said, "Why don't we do them together" It was a magical night where the lighted candles flickered all throughout the garden as by the light of the full Grandmother Moon, I asked the spirits to come forth with blessings for our sister & then Geo would sing in each direction. As her remarkable voice drifted to the heavens, you could feel the natural forces coming forth at her bidding. What a memory, what a good sister, I still remain in awe & respect for Geo & her work.

The Geomancy Group engaged Geo and David Trevarthen as guest teachers at our Samhain Gathering 2004 in Aberdeenshire.
